If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? Ever read the book 'Woman on the Verge?' It's all about a utopian society, people aren't violent, are vegetarian, and protect the earth. I can't think of anything better than that.
What makes a person respectable? To be respectable, in my eyes, a person needs to be tactful and not wishy-washy. Even if I might not agree with the persons politics, if they can make a stand WITHOUT being argumentative - I'll respect it.
What do you look for in a friend? Someone I can trust. Someone I can laugh OR cry with.
What are your hobbies? I write both short stories and screenplays. Also, I'm a singer (my original major at the uni was Vocal Performance). I am a coloratura (read: my voice is the highest form of soprano and suited for fast moving pieces such as the Queen of the Night's aria in The Magic Flute) soprano and have been in multiple operas and musicals.
Have or would you give time and money to a charity?Never given my time to a charity, and I haven't donated money to a cause since third or fourth grade. I think I got mailers from the Leprosy foundation for years after that - and all I'd given them was 5 dollars!! I keep saying I'll volunteer at a soup kitchen, but I always come up with reasons (no time, energy, whatnot) for NOT doing it.
What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish?I want to sell a novel or script.
Who is your role model?Oh, this is hard. I suppose the person I look up to most is my mother. She rocks. And she's my closest friend. She's strong - raised three children alone, works full time as a teacher AND finds the time to enjoy life. Nothing gets to her, she's the calmest person I know. Yet she manages to control each situation that pops up. Gotta respect that.
What trait most annoys you about other people? I *HATE* people who are fake. I don't respect it. I won't condone it. Two-faced people especially grate me. If you say something - mean it, don't change your views because you're talking to someone else. Likely or not, I'll even call you on it before deciding not to trust a thing you say. Ever.
What do you want to do for a living? I want an oscar for most original screenplay. Seriously. I think the greatest moment in my life will be when I get paid to write. Or more specific, paid to write books or scripts. I've already been paid to write - When I've got time, I get paid to attend fashion shows and write reviews. It's wicked fun (and gift bags ROCK). Working on a dramatic TV show as a series writer would also rock. Used to want to be a major opera singer (I already have the prima donna attitude! ~joking) until I learned that the majority of opera singers retire by 40. That bothered me far too much. I'd hate to have to retire singing to be a music teacher/vocal coach. Dull.
If your friend was attacked (by a person, animal, or (in the magic world) beast), what would you do? If I thought it was something I could take on - I'd help, otherwise, I'd summon someone else's help. It would also depend on what type of attack. A verbal attack? Those I can handle easy. You mess with my friends in that way and I'll get even. Physical attacks I'm more likely to seek outside help.
Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason?Absolutely. Dating sucks, but I certainly wouldn't mind using Imperio on a guy or two or twenty. And I know a few people I wouldn't mind shouting 'crucio' at. My current boss included. I'm not much of a fighter, dislike the whole confrontation thing. Not much confrontation involved if using an unforgiveable. Knowing me, especially when I'm already irritated, I'd probably end up cursing stupid drivers on the road. Much like the time I tried to quit smoking, it was all I could do to NOT purposefully rear end slow drivers.
What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?I'm creative, I'm funny, I'm a good friend, I'm organised and I'm a great singer. I love to create things - stories, worlds, characters. I like to use both the creativity and my music to entertain. Nothing feels better than manipulating peoples' emotions using nothing more than a well-written story or a moving aria. It's interesting watching television and being manipulated by the writing and acting into feeling whatever emotion the situation calls for - it's an even greater feeling to be the cause. When I'm on top of my game, I'm on top of my game. I think I've got a great wit - when I use it. I like to make people laugh.
Additionally, as for being organized, I might be a bit of a pack rat - but I know where EVERYTHING is. My current work particularly needs me to be organized. Finally, I'm a great friend. I am loyal to my friends and no matter what current hell is going on in my life, I'm there for my friends. My opinion, friends are the greater part of life.
What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?I'm not assertive enough, lately I have been irritable, I tend to be a bit of a pack rat - meaning I still have handouts from highschool I saved because they might be of use someday, I've got mood swings up to wazoo, and I'm as undomestic as they come (I don't like to cook or clean).
I think all of these are fairly self explanatory. But... I'm really not assertive. I have trouble standing up for myself, which is odd since I've no problem standing up for a friend. I don't really let people walk over me, but if people hurt me I tend to internalise it rather than confront the person. Also, lately I've been especially irritable. Seriously. And I'm finding that if one person ticks me off, there's a good chance innocent bystanders will face the wrath. Hehe. Horribly enough, for an entire week it was my closest friends who felt it. Example - I was ticked off, went to Starbucks and saw none of my friends were there. It pissed me off further and I drove home - after leaving messages for my friends about how I wasn't going to wait for them to join me. Of course, I was totally in the wrong since we didn't even have plans to meet up in the first place!
I think the pack rat bit doesn't need to be expanded upon, nor the undomestic bit except that I can say 'cooking' to me equals nukking a microwave dinner. Cold cereal is my specialty. And cleaning = throwing things in either the dirty clothes hamper or throwing thing out. And I have mood swings. I can be laughing and joking one minute. And shortly after I can be absolutely dead serious.
Define in your own words the following key traits:
Courage: To me, it takes courage just to make it through each day. I hate to personalise this, but for me I feel courageous making it through each hour. Then again, I'm still recovering from a nasty bout of bipolar depression.
I suppose courage could also apply to the facing of any situation that you'd rather run from or pretend doesn't exist. Facing a fear, especially, is courageous.
Loyalty: Standing by a friend no matter what - being there for them when the going gets rough.
Intelligence: I don't believe you can be intelligent without being open-minded. Life isn't just booksmarts - what you learn along the way can be more important. Also, it isn't about what you know, but what you do with it.
Ambition: Without ambition, without a goal, life is flat. Your goal doesn't have to be big, but it needs to be there. It's a driving force in life. Without it you'll go nowhere fast.

What house do you think DOESN'T fit you? (This question is optional for those who feel they just DO NOT fit in a house. Please explain WHY.) Gryffindor. It's hard to explain, other than a serious desire against them. Maybe it's just that in all the books, I'm actually not that fond of Harry (though Fred and George W. are wicked cool, and give the house a better name).
