If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? I would prefer a world that was more open-minded and tolerant, where different people with different ideas could all be accepted and at the very least tolerated and respected. I think intolerance and closed-mindedness are the main reasons for a lot of the problems in the world, from war to poverty.
What makes a person respectable? To me, a respectable person has three traits -- intelligence, manners and determination. Possessing the ability to carry on an intelligent conversation is important, because it is disrespectful and shameful not to be able to hold one's own or have independent thoughts. Manners, of course, matter, since so few people have them anymore and they are a mark of true class. Determination, the will to stick to one's goals despite setbacks, is as a trait of the respectable. It shows a strength of character and a refusal to give up easily.
What do you look for in a friend Above all, I like my friends to be unique and interesting individuals who are completely sincere and whom I can appreciate for themselves, and vice versa. People with their own opinions, who are strong and unafraid to be themselves, are my favourite types to be friends with. I have very little patience for clinginess, I'm afraid, and I'm not good with emotional dependency. It's good to be friends with those who are capable and individualistic, so you know the friendship is based on like instead of need.
What are your hobbies? I read obsessively, write fanfiction, do art like painting and photography. I like some outdoor activities like horseback riding, hiking and snowshoeing. I also like to travel and actually enjoy studying.
Have or would you give time and money to a charity? I have and will again, I'm sure, but I am not the type to just donate a few notes to whatever tin comes floating by. I usually look up the company I donate to first and make sure it's legit, then give a bit. I could afford to give more, but I'm not all that generous, I guess.
What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish? I would love to publish novels, make millions of dollars and see the world. That's it.
Who is your role model? Dominic Monaghan. He's gorgeous, he cares about the earth, he's brilliant, he's diverse and he's unique.
What trait most annoys you about other people? Insincerity. I like people to be honest and real, to just be themselves, rather then faking it in order to fit in or impress people.
What do you want to do for a living? Be a writer, be an actress, work for Doctors Without Borders or travel from place to place doing odd jobs and just having a fabulous time.
If your friend was attacked (by a person, animal, or (in the magic world) beast), what would you do? I would defend them the best I could, or go get help if I wasn't able to do anything for them.
Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason? Yes. I would use one when I thought it necessary, such as to spare someone else's life or to get vital information in an extreme situation. I wouldn't use them as a first resort though, and as for Avada Kedavra...probably not unless a love one was about to be killed or something.
What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities? I am independent, I am capable, I am creative, I am well read and I am sincere.
What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities? Sometimes I am bossy or demanding. I am horrible with money and spend it like it's going out of style. I am very bad at apologising or admitting when I make mistakes. I can be a perfectionist at times. Oh, yes, and I pawn off household chores to friends, roommates or family. Really, I can't cook but for toast and I whine like a baby when it's time to do dishes. ;)
Define in your own words the following key traits:
Courage: It doesn't mean being unafraid, it means being afraid and still doing what needs to be done in spite of that fear.
Loyalty: Being true to your word and valuing your friendship even if you're not going to get anything out of it.
Intelligence: Whether or not you are born with natural ability, working to the best of your ability, realising your potential and never ceasing to learn new things.
Ambition: The key to survival...the determination and desire that fuels the rest and gets things don't. The lifeblood of success.
