If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
I wouldn't change anything. The world has it's glories and its terrors, and although many would not agree, a balance is needed. Should I pick something to change, I seriously doubt that it would be dramatic enough to change at some level the ways things are. Religious wars will always continue as long as people continue to believe in their faith. Poverty will continue regardless of intervention from charities and other resources. some of us will do our damn best to help less fortunate then ourselves and others will go through their life completely closed off from the world and its activities.
What makes a person respectable?
Someone who doesn't take another at face value, who won't knock another because their lifestyle is less than favourable in others eyes. Who doesn't believe that a lack of education means a lack of common sense or intelligence. Who knows in order to be respected they need to offer respect in turn. someone who is able to still stand up and smile at the world when it has kicked them down many times.
What do you look for in a friend?
Honesty. To tell the truth rather than tell me what I want them to say. To be diverse in character and personality so far removed from myself, which would ensure that the friendship will be a very different and challenging one, but at the same time to acknowledge and understand each difference and to respect each individual aspects in addition.
What are your hobbies?
Reading Fan fiction. Figure drawing. PC repair. D.I.Y.
Have or would you give time and money to a charity?
I support The National Meningitus Trust and St Mary's Hospital PICU, as my son contracted meningitis at 12 weeks old and without them he would never be here to celebrate his 5th birthday. I also give money to other charities such as Cancer Research. These are my chosen ones to contribute to, as they have played a major part in my life. It's a sad fact that I would not have contributed to them if the events had never happened. I think that that is a thing that motivates others to contribute. It becomes an obligation in some ways.
What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish?
I would like to become more assertive. And less sensitive I used to spend my days been literally trodden on, but I would like to fight back, in a more aggressive way then I currently do. I believe that aggression is not totally a bad element to possess as a characteristic, and one that will get me noticed. That is something that needs to be dealt with more than the ideal job.
Who is your role model?
Haven't got one. I work as best as I can. Live the life that I chose despite people saying, "Oh don't you want to do something different". And still dream of the possibilities ahead of me and believe I can go out there regardless of my age and gender and say "I Can Do That"
What trait most annoys you about other people?
Arrogance and apathy, two extremes. Arrogance of those who believe they are above the rest of their peers etc, who think ambition is based on how much more you are paid or how much more luxurious your lifestyle is, rather than on how comfortable you are in regards to your ability.
Apathy. In regards to people who continue to drain resources and constantly wail that others are to blame for their dilemna and way of life. Who feel that by being apathetic then rather than use their intelligence or initiative, they bind themselves to others.
What do you want to do for a living?
To give myself a good kick up the rear and do my English Language and Literature degree to enable me to realise my dream of writing.
If your friend was attacked (by a person, animal, or (in the magic world) beast), what would you do?
I would like to say that I would do my up most to help. but in reality if faced up with it I would probably panic, scream and freeze then try at some level to intercede and this would result in no doubt being attacked along with said friend, instead of thinking and phoning for example the Police, or help from a person more able to deal with this. I would be very foolish to think I could handle this myself.
Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason?
If it was used in order to harm me, then all thoughts of brotherhood of man would be thrown out of the window and be damned. I may not be an assertive soul, but I would retaliate if anyone harmed me.
What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?
Open minded, Life is too short to be objectionable to others choices.
Inner strength. Amazing thing when you come into contact with a fear in your life.
Individuality. Makes me different from those around me. took me years to really achieve this label, but I try to assert a bit of uniqueness in my every day living.
Intelligence. I know that I have a good level of knowledge, and intellect, despite having my confidence knocked when I was younger, and as I get older I know I can achieve something that would be unattainable years ago, and have enough sense to say it to people without being considered conceited.
Imagination. The thing that keeps me alive, always with me and makes the real world more bearable, the characteristic I possess to entertain my son, with amazing stories and creativity.
What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?
Impatience. as I get older I become less compliant.
Short temper. An ability I was able to hold in when I was younger and probably did no good. Now I let my temper go when I feel under pressure, preferably in a darkened room.
Manipulative. Despite being a bad streak in my personality, I find it works to my advantage very often, rather disinclined to give that one up really.
Argumentative. Despite being almost passive aggressive in nature, I love a good argument/debate, especially if it involves a crowd of people, but normally wait till the argument is in full flow before I generally say my piece. Then I get all prissy if attacked in return, but can't help myself, even if I get involved in something I know nothing about.
Define in your own words the following key traits:
Courage:The ability to carry on when it seems to yourself that all is lost. To be able to stand up and shout "I am still here and fighting"
Loyalty:Enabling to give those you love commitment, but at the same time guiding them if they stray, and being totally honest even if at the time it could hurt your loved ones.
Intelligence:To be able to acknowledge and respects peoples diverseness, and qualities, and to never presume that common sense goes hand in hand with intelligence. Intellect does not make me wiser.
Ambition:To be able to say I am comfortable with my life, but maybe I could try a little bit more.
What house do you think DOESN'T fit you? (This question is optional for those who feel they just DO NOT fit in a house. Please explain WHY.) Each house would each have its finest qualities. However I do have a favourite or two
