Sort me, I'm an open book!

Name: Erie
Age: Eighteen years old

If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? Hmm, well I'd love to say I'd aim for world peace and all that, but in all honesty I rather like a spat or two with my siblings or (if we're being truthful, and) my parents every now and then, so that might be a bit hypocritical. Therefore, I think I'd like it if there was less serious, deep, dark hatred in the world. Not gone altogether as that would never work and secretly I think it might make humanity fairly boring to only love one another for all time, but the bigger things. No more mass wars or bigotry or any of that.

Actually, reading this now I realise how ridiculous I sound. Um, I suppose I ought to say 'happiness for all' and just leave it at that, eh?

Who is your favorite Hogwarts teacher? I love McGoogles. She's intelligent, an interesting teacher and from what we've seen throughout the series, most especially in OotP, witty. I have a hard time finding strong female role models that I manage to both like and aspire towards, but she is actually quite easy to try at.

Who is your favorite character in Harry Potter? Remus. No question, really. There are many characters I love dearly (Sirius, Fred and George, the bit of James that we were given a glimpse of, what we've seen of Lily, Ron, the list goes on...), but he's tops. I've been told the icon somehow gives it away, although I haven't a clue how. *grins* He's just so very... lovely, I suppose. He has this dark secret, but he still manages to inspire such a wonderful mental image. Also, I entirely understand the feeling of stopping yourself before others because you want so badly to be liked. It's not a pleasant thing to understand, but it sort of binds the reader to him. Well, at least it binds me.

Who is your least favorite character in Harry Potter? As strange and likely to lead towards rotten fruit being hurled at me, it would be Harry. He's growing on me as the series progresses, but I just don't enjoy him. He's flat, a hero who everyone ought to love for the horrors he's seen, and yet I don't. I'm fairly sure it's just me though, and as I said he is growing on me.

What makes a person respectable? The willingness to accept the world as it is, and yet still try to improve as life goes along is respectable in my eyes.

What is your take on religion? I was raised very Roman Catholic, but as that more or less crashed and burned, I'm in the 'anything goes' stage of religion at the moment. I believe in God, but it's more like I believe in the lighter side of the spiritial world.

What do you think about house elves? I think they're adorable. A bit frightening in some cases, but as long as they're happy, where's the harm? However, I believe they ought to be given a choice. If they'd like to be paid, they will, and if not, well it's their choice.

What do you look for in a friend? Someone who tries to understand me even just a little. Some of my best friends are the people who are willing to try new crazes of mine even though there have been some in the past they disliked.

Would you rather have friends and family or money and success? Friends and family. They are the ones who will be around forever (at least hopefully), while success and money are fleeting.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? My habit of not really talking about the more serious aspects of my life and instead covering it up with ridiculous facts and questions about other people. I do realise I bask in my imperfections too much to really be taken seriously sometimes.

What do you feel is your best quality? My winning smile. *grins* Seriously though, my willingness to really listen? Or my mild insanity, it's a tie between those two.

What are your hobbies? Playing the piano, singing in a jazz choir, writing my stories. I read more than can be deemed healthy. Oh, and I dance, horribly, mostly to embarress friends and family.

Do you want to have children? Perhaps one day. I adore kids, but I'm awfully worried that they might not like me or worse, vice versa. Too many years with my mother, I guess. *laughs* I'm more the aunt type at the moment, a bit too immature to consider anything about having children outside of the fun side.

Have or would you give time and money to a charity? Yes, I have devoted both time and money to retirement home and day care/summer camp programs (which are such fun) and I will continue doing so.

If your friend was attacked (by a person, animal, or (in the magic world) beast), what would you do? Beat the person/animal/magical beast with anything available or with magic, if in the magical world. Although knowing me, I'd probably scratch its face to blind it, than pull my friend away. I love my nails dearly, they're a weapon AND an accessory.

What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish? I'd like to write a book that makes people happy. Children, teenagers, adults, the needlessly lonely, really.

Who is your role model? Diana Wynne Jones. From what I've read of her from her biography, articles and books, I respect and relate to her. Always have, most likely always will. Which I suppose is a bit odd of a choice, but there you have it. Nearer to me would be my baby sister for putting up with everything she has, and yet turning out as wonderful as she is.

What trait most annoys you about other people? People who refuse to enjoy their lives and wish to bring others down with them get on my nerves quite a bit.

What do you want to do for a living? I'd like to become an author of children's books, have since I was three years old. Although a life as a manga ka might also be fun. It would never work unless I took formal lessons, but I'm sure I'd have a fantastic time trying.

Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason? It depends on the situation, but yes, if I felt there was no other way.

What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?

1)My optimistic spirit
2)My polite manners.
3)My brilliant mind. *grins*
4)My sense of humour.
5)My... reading skills. (They are apparently insanely good and I'm rather proud of them, so yes.)
