Application Ho!

  • What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why? I'd probably do something in the ministry of magic either working the Auror Office since that profession ingrigues me for some reason, and I have no idea why, or working for the Games and Sports area since I also have a deep love for sports and in the Wizarding world I have always been greatly interested in Quidditch and when I role play usually one or more of my characters are Quidditch Players. I love reading about how the game is played and I actually have played it in real life, though it is much harder to do if you can't fly. Also Aurors have intrigued me as well since they fight to stop Voldemort and protect the Wizarding World from his threats. I see them being like a mini SWAT team, jumping into action when something wrong happens, and I can see myself fighting the good fight and keeping everyone safe. Plus I would love to knock a few Death Eaters around.

  • If you could teach one class at Hogwarts, what would it be and why? Definietly Charms. It has been one of my favourite classes since I first read the Harry Potter series, and I have been hooked on the class and what kinds of things you can learn ever since. With just your wand you can use it for so many different things, making things move, changing your appearance, making water come out of your wand and so many other things. The sky is the limit with Charms. I am interested in it so much because it is the type of class that has a lot of hands on activities. I am the type of person who gets more out of a class with the hands on stuff, because some people don't get the full benefit of learning from just reading a book and with Charms, you can do so many things with your wand and different things will appear. Sure there will be some spells backfiring, but that is where practice comes in, and not to mention having a professor like Professor Flitwick makes the class even more entertaining.

  • This year, The TriWizard Tournament is being held once again and you're of age. Do you put your name in the Goblet? Why or why not? No I don't put my name in the Goblet even if I am of age. I think the reason for that is the fact that I think the tournamnet is mostly really dangerous, and I would not want to jepordize myself at putting myself in danger of what may happen to me if I were to compete. There is the possibility I could get hurt, or I may even die, and you are out there with just your wand to defend yourself and you don't have much of a chance to survive it all. One wrong move and it could be over in an instant and there is all kinds of creatures you could face. Why I wouldn't put my name in the Goblet is the fact I wouldn't want to risk by putting myself in danger or have the risk of getting injured, but I am the type of person who does compete, but on a smaller scale than what the Triwizard tournament is, like playing Quidditch for an example. I see myself sitting out in the audience cheering on my fellow classmates on. I would rather be in the auidence than in the Tournament. ;)

  • If you could choose your animagus form, what would it be and why? I have given this a lot of thought over the years and while your animangus form is the animal that matches your personality, if I could chose, I would chose the raven. To me it is one of the most beautiful birds I have seen, even if it has an air of mystery and haunting to it. It's often misunderstood given to the fact that some people have said that it is an omen of death, but I do not believe that. It has a beauty that can not compare to it's reletive, the crow. I have loved this bird for a long time and everytime I see I often imagine what it would be like to fly and have feathers that are so shiny and black like theirs are. Also, it's a loner. You almost never see a raven flying with a group. At least the ones I have seen where I live are ususally alone and that makes me think that they are happy that way. I think I can relate to the raven's personality in a way because they are loners and are dark and mysterious. You never know waht they are going to do next, and they are full of secrets that we ourselves don't know.plus they are cunning and sly,and very crafty when they want to be. I'd like to have the raven as my animangus because in some cases I can be a loner and I would love to fly in the air and be able to go anywhere I wanted to.

  • What HP character do you identify with most and why? Definietly Luna Lovegood. She may seem kind of weird and kind of crazy and her mind may be out there, but I think that is the whole reason why I adore her so much. She comes up with crazy and off the wall things that no one in their right mind would even think of. She is often random and so am I. She seems like someone I would have a lot in common with and if she were a real person, I'd definetly hang out with her. What really drew her to me was the fact that she is an outcast and misunderstood and is the target of her classmates torment, just because she marches to the beat of her own drum and doesn't care if people call her Loony and think she dresses weird. I went through that myself when I was in school because I often was the target of other people's torment and like Luna I didn't care, but the thing that me and Luna both share is the fact that we long for friends, because both Luna and myself are so out there, a lot of people are kind of hesitant to talk to either one of us because some people do not know how to act around people who are random and full of witty comments and what not. Luna doesn't care what others think of her and she knows she is weird, but that is what makes her so loveable. I relate to her because she is random just like me and a daydreamer and is totally out there. I guess you can say she is pretty much my clone and if she were real, she would be my best friend.

  • What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised? I would see myself happier than I am now, with a good paying job, and the job being something I wanted to do my whole life which is writing books. I see myself with my first novel and next to me is my husband and family for I want that more than anything in this world. To be married and have a family of my own someday, and seeing their happy faces in the mirror marks how truly blessed I will be in the future. If I looked in the mirror this is probably what I want to see. I want to see myself happy and getting everything that I could ever hope for and wanting to be a novelist and have a family is something I been longing for, for a long time and if the mirror could give me that, then I would die a happy woman.

  • If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it? I have been asked this question hundreds of times and my answer has always been the same, and it will remain that way until I end up getting a million dollars. I would spend part of it on myself, but I would donate most of it to research to find a cure for my best friend who suffers from a rare kidney disese that does not have a cure and each day is filled with wonder if she will survive the next day or future years. She is in remission now, but there is that slight chance she could relapse and things could go downhill for her, and I have often told her that if I had enough money I would give half of it to research so they could find a cure. The other half would be given to her family cause they are the family that deserves it more than I do.I mean they have done so much for me and my family over the years and they are not as well off as some people, but they never once felt guilty for giving me anything and giving them something that they need is something I would do in heartbeat. They all need it more than I do and I am a giving person, and I always put my friends and familie's needs before my onw and I would definiety give them something that they need more than I do. I'd be happy to see them with something more than they already have.

  • What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now? When i was a kid I wanted to be different things. The sky was the limit for my imagineation whcih seemed to run wild at times, but the job that I really remembering wanting to do was to play baseball professionally. I remember telling my grandfather when I was about 5 years old that I wanted to be the first woman to ever play for the Boston Red Sox and take the team to a World Series win. I remember how he laughed at me and said that it was near impossible for a woman to make it into the American League, but I held onto that dream for a few years until I started to realize myself that was an impossible dream to have. My dream job has changed since then and I am holding onto this one since it is more realistic. Since my sophomore year of high school, I finally realized that I wanted to be a novelist. Writing soon became my passion and I could be found in my room for hours, just writing whatever came to my mind, whether it being a story or even a poem. I just loved writing, because it took me to another world and I could express myself more than I ever could when I talked in public. Writing came so natrual to me that I could not imagine doing anything else. Wanting to write my own books is something that I had been wanting for years and I am determined to do it and see my boo on the bookstore shelves, whether I die trying. It's all I know how to do, and without writing, I am nothing.

  • If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it? If I were to make a spell or a potion, I think It would be a potion to wash your hair with. But there would be a catch to it though. Instead of a regular shampoo, it would come in a series, and to make it work, you would wave your wand at it depending on what kind of shampoo it is, would turn your hair to whatever you wash your hair with. Like there would be a set for color treated hair, curly hair, to make it more shiney and have body and thickness. You would have to be really careful with it though, because one wrong move could give you the worst hair you could ever imagine. As for the name I'd call it: "Magickal Hair!" Since it would be shampoo and conditioners that would change your hair into something extordianary.

  • If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus? I am DEATHLY afraid of spiders, almost to the point where I go into absolute hysteria because I had a childhood experience where a babysitter of mine shoved me into a patch of field where there were all kinds of spiders crawling all over me, and I got so scared that I went into hysteria. But that is what my boggart would turn into, but if I used the Riddikulus spell, the spider would have tap shoes and start doing a tap dancing number. Even thinking about that makes me laugh.

  • What do you look for in a friend? I am a pretty loyal friend and when I am looking for a friend, I look for someone who has the same interests as I do. That makes for interesting conversations about that particualar subject. What we like and don't like, vice versa. I also look for someone who is respectful and loyal. If you are respectful and loyal to me, I'll do the same for you. I don't tolerate anyone who says they are my friend and then hear from someone else that they have talked about me behind my back. I will not tolerate gossip or anykind of backstabbing crap. I went through that in high school and I will not get it now. I like friends who are there for me so I can talk to them and they can do the same, as well as defend me if I am the topic of bad gossip. If I have a friend who can make me laugh when I don't want to, then you are a friend for life. I am very protective and I will protect them all and be there for them no matter what, and I want the same in return. I don't ask for much when it comes to friendship, but what I do ask for is what I just said, and you are not worth it if you don't follow any of it. Friendship is very important to me, so I expect it it be important to all the friends I make.

  • What trait most annoys you about other people? There are a lot of things about people that annoy me and wile it is hard to pick just one trait that annoys me, the one that comes to mind is when random people crack their knuckles. That annoys me to no end and half the time it makes me cringe and shudder with the most annoyance. Especially when someone in my hearing range does it in public. That is where it gets the most annoying. But I am really shy when it comes to being out in public because I do not really say much except when I am in a group of people I know, so if someone happens to crack their knuckles and I hear it, I can't say "please stop." It annoys me because it sounds like they are trying to break their hand off or something and has the sound from a really bad horror movie. At least it does to me. It get to the point where I want to cover my ears and run away. So to show I am annoyed, I just roll my eyes or walk away if I can, cause I can't say anything in big crowds cause I dont do well in crowds for some reason:/

  • What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities? I am not really sure what my top five abilities and qualities are, but I am going to give it my best shot. From what my family has told me is that I have a very good memory. I can remember dates and numbers like there is no tomorrow, but don't ask me to do math cause i suck at it really bad. But I can remember dates and numbers and things from years back that my parents and siblings don't even remember.I suprise them often with the things I do remember and have them speachless for several minutes due to my memory. I like to say I remember the things I want to, and forget the things I don't want to remember. 2.I am very good writer. Like I said in a previous question, I can express myself better through words and writing better than I can with regular talking. I can write a letter or a card for someone and move them to tears for what I can say in it. My dad says I have a beautiful writing ability and it shows with what I write. 3. I am a very good listener. When someone is having a bad day and needs to talk, that someone always knows that he or she can reach me cause I listen without interupting so the person can vent and get their emotions out. A lot of people have said that they trust me more cause I actually listen to what they have to say and that makes me feel good knowing I have aquality that can be really useful. 4.I love to make people laugh. I find that I should have been a stand up comedian cause of all the things I do to make people laugh. I am always doing something to make someone laugh, whether it being m reciting movie quotes or just doing something off the wall, I always have people in fits of laughter before the night is out and I love the fact that I can make others laugh. Humor is the best medicine I think. And my last good trait is the fact I love to learn. I am always doing some sort of research whether it being in books or even online, I always find something that I didn't know before and that gives me the spark to share it with others. I am always reading books doesn't matter what kind of books they are, I always find something in them that I never knew before, even if I have read them a thousand times I always find something new and interesting. I love to learn, doesnt matter what subject, I will find it useful no matter what.

  • What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities? 1. I think I am too nice for my own good. I think I am so nice makes it easy for me to make friends, but there is a down side of the fact that it makes me an essy target for others to walk over me, which happens, and that is a weakness of mine I have dealt with for years and I am still working on it. 2. I trust way too easily. Like the first one, this also gives people to walk over me cause I think I can trust others right away and become friends with them and then I will realize when it is too late what that person was really after friendship wise.

    3. I am a very judgemental person. I tend to judge rather quickly on how a person is going to be. It has slimmed down some since then, but when I was younger, I used to be way too judgemental and it affected my friendships greatly. I thought my best friend now was a stuck up snob but once I got to know her I found she was an awesome person and I felt bad for judging her. I am working on this, but sometimes it affects me sometimes.

    4. I am a very stubborn person and I think this affects how I was brought up cause my stubborness affected how my mother and I got along cause we are both very stubborn and we hardly ever listen to anyone or take advice from anyone cause we are set in our ways and have to do what we think is right when in the end, someone else was. I like to do things when I want to and when someone tells me to go one way, I wont budge unless I want to and that affects me greatly cause sometimes it gets me in trouble. I am less stubborn than I used to be, but sometimes I get set in my ways and get in trouble. 5. I'm a rule breaker occasionally and dont usually follow the rules except my own. When someone tells me something, I don't listen and that gets me in trouble cause i hardly ever listen. I have been working on how I listen to others and it has gotten better over the years, i still dont like listening to people especially my family but I can do that, but everywhere else I try to be obediant and follow the rules.

  • Define in your own words the following key traits:

    • Courage: To me it is the ability to accomplish anything that you set your mind to. Like if you have a big project to do and you think that you can't do it, you need to muster up all the courage you have and be brave enough that you can do it. It's mind over matter. If you think you can't accomplish anything you are not going to have enough courage. Courage is something I lack, but there are times where I muster all the courage I have and follow through, even if I think I am going to fail at it. Importnat thing is that I gave it my all.
    • Loyalty: This is a big thing for me, especially when I am looking for a friend. Loyalty is a big thing in friendships cause that is where the trust is built up. I am super loyal to my friends and I would do almost anything for them, big or small. They know I am there for them no matter what and they know I expect the same. Everyone has some form of loyalty in them, even if they think they don't. It doesn't matter if you think you dont, but if you have friends and would do anything for them, then that is being loyal. No matter what, I am loyal even if it is to someone I dislike.
    • Intelligence: Everyone has intelligence, even if you think you don't. For me, I know I am smart, I just think I lack in some areas, like numbers and science, but I think I am pretty intelligent for my own good since I am alaways doing some sort of research, whether in a book or on the internet. We all have a certian area that we rule in the intelligence area. We are all smart and clever, but the thing is when we want to use it and show others how smart we really are to give someone the element of suprise. I love being smart and I use my intelligence in places where I know I am going to do well, and that is important to me.
    • Ambition: The ability to do anything you want no matter what. This is another form of determination and to accomplish anything once you set your mind to it. I don't have much ambition, but with the things I want to do, like getting back to school is taking alot of ambition because I fear that I will not be able to. Ambition is something that most people lack and I know I am one of them because I think I am never going to get there, because so much work is involved and my ambitions are very slim and I know I can do it, it's just the fact that I want to or not. Once you set your mind to something, it's your goal and there is no going back. I have very small ambitions, but I know I will accompish them with hard work and the determination I can do anything.
