It was pretty hard to narrow down all the choices. To be honest, I don't think I would be working in the wizarding world. I just think that living in the Muggle world has a lot more career opportunities for me. But if I did have to choose a profession, I would definitely be an Auror. I think they have the most fascinating job, especially investigating illegal uses of magic. I would definitely find it exciting.
If you could teach one class at Hogwarts, what would it be and why?
Potions. I'm such a science nerd at heart (my mom is a huge influence on me) and I definitely think that Potions is almost the same as chemistry. You're just using natural ingredients instead of chemicals. I also like Potions because it also reminds me of cooking. Especially since you have to follow a recipe (of sorts) to the letter; less you want to end up at St. Mungo's.
This year, The TriWizard Tournament is being held once again and you're of age. Do you put your name in the Goblet? Why or why not?
Definitely not. It's not that wouldn't love to participate. It's just that while I do like eternal glory, fame, and fortune, I would rather achieve that without risking life and limb for it. Besides, that kind of stuff is always short-lived. In this age, you have to make people want to remember you. In a few short years, people will forget your name when the next tournament comes along.
If you could choose your animagus form, what would it be and why?
If I could pick any animagus form, I would definitely choose to be a bunny. I know others have chosen much more powerful animals, but I have such a soft spot for bunnies. I mean, if you met a bunny in a dark alley, would you want to harm it? I don't think so. Except for that rabbit from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I think that bunny is the only one on this planet that I would not want to snuggle to pieces.
What HP character do you identify with most and why?
I can definitely identify with Hermione the most, followed closely by Fred and George. Hermione is both an insufferable know-it-all and a genuinely compassionate person. She cares deeply for her friends, and will do anything under the sun for them. I'm pretty much the same way, but my know-it-all nature has toned down over the years. And a large part of me can identify with the twins as well. I love to cause shenanigans (the cheeky and fun kind) when I can. Most of my family thinks I'm crazy, but I think that humor is a good way to bring people closer together. Everyone likes a good joke...and cheeky shenanigans. ;3
What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised?
If I were to look into the Mirror of Erised, I would see myself as a world famous pastry chef. It's my ultimate dream to become one. It's the one career that I find challenging; I love cooking and working with my hands. I definitely see cooking as a way of expressing myself (Lord knows I can't draw ;3). I can also see myself traveling all over the world as well. I have always wanted to travel everywhere; it's the wandering gypsy in me I suppose. I have never like staying in one place for too long. It just makes me feel cagey if I stay in one place for too long. I guess I get bored very easily.
If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it?
I have so many things that I would like to do with a million dollars. First, I would invest some of the money into stocks; that way, the money can gain interest and make me more money!! :3 Then, I would use some of the money to go to as many culinary schools as I can; I want to learn as many regional cooking styles that I can. And lastly, I would put the rest of my money into a trust and develop a scholarship program for inspiring chefs.
What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now?
As a child, I always wanted to be a teacher. My mom was one, and I thought that she had the coolest job on the planet. But once I sat in on my mom's class, I realized that I have absolutely no patience for high school kids. So my ideal job has definitely changed over the years. Every since my parents taught me how to cook, it's become my passion; now, my ideal job is to become either a personal chef or a pastry chef.
If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it?
I dunno if this a charm, but I would love to invent a small device that can translate other languages into English. It could be placed in the ear (kind of like ear bud headphones, but wireless) and as the speaker talks, his words can be translated, then transmitted directly to the brain. I would call them Language Buds. ;3
If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus?
If I faced a boggart, it would turn into my old co-workers from my last internship. They're not the most evil people in the planet, but let's just say we aren't "buddy buddy". It was hard enough working in an office where people constantly shoved their religion, ideals, and social clubs on you, but being made the butt of people's jokes just did fly with me at all. Made me loath going to work sometimes. When I cast the counter-spell, my ex co-workers will all turn into a herd of sheep.
What do you look for in a friend?
I really don't look for much in a friend. The one important that I look is honesty. I like my friends to be honest to not only me, but to themselves as well. It just makes life so much easier. I also look for a sense of humor. If you can't take a joke, I don't think you would be a good fit amongst my group of friends. And lastly, I look for some sort of intelligence. That way, I can hold a conversation with you. :3
What trait most annoys you about other people?
The one thing that annoys me to no end about people is their narrow minded thinking. From experience, I find it very hard to talk to people who have a concrete set of beliefs. They seem unwilling to even listen to what you have to say, because they will always think that they're right. Also, narrow-minded people tend to dislike others who don't share their beliefs.
What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?
I think that my top five qualities are: my compassion for others (I love to help others, even when they don't ask. My father says that people tend to take advantage of you, but I really don't mind. There are some things that I won't do for people I don't know), my sense of humor (I tend to just crack jokes all of the time, especially when I meet people for the first time.), my quick wit (I'm not really as snarky when I'm around people that I don't know, because others might take it as being rude and flippant. But people that know me best see it as another part of my sense of humor.), my quick thinking (I've always been able to think on my feet. Whenever I see a problem, I can quickly think of one or two solutions in my head.), and lastly my ability to adapt to any situation.
What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?
I think my top five worst qualities are: my shyness (I'm not my bubbly self when I first me people, or when I don't like being there), my temper (I'm a very patient person, but once people get on my "bad side", I tend to get a little...bitchy. It's my way of letting people know that they need to leave me alone. I also get really loud when I lose my temper, and I tend to say very mean things that I would normally never say.), my stubborn nature (I'm set in some of my ways, especially my independent nature. If I can do something myself, I really don't like people helping me...I'm weird like that.), and lastly my knack of holding grudges for a long time (I really hate holding grudges, but sometimes I don't let people know that I'm angry (from fear of people telling me that I shouldn't get angry over little things.)
Define in your own words the following key traits:
Courage: I think that courage can be defined as being able to face everyday life head-on. Sometimes, courage means that you have the ability to weather all storms, both physical and emotional. Inner strength, if you will.
Loyalty: Loyalty is standing up for both your family and friends, and also give them the emotional support that they need. In turn, they will do the same for you. Even if the people that you love are wrong, it's good to know that they know you will always be in their corner.
Intelligence: Intelligence is not just being book-smart, but also street smart as well. Because sometimes, you will not be able to find the answers to life's questions in a book, and vice versa. It's good to have a healthy balance of those two; makes life so much easier.
Ambition: I always thought that ambition is just simply wanting to make a better life for yourself. Now, I believe that ambition is a little more than that; it is using all of the resources given to you to work at making something of yourself and achieving all of your personal goals. Whatever you do with those resources, however, is up to you.
