You shall do no more murder at Hogwarts!

  • What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why? Dragon Keeper. Or something to do with dragons. That would probably be my first question upon learning that all magical things are real. Werewolves, vampires and dragons. Werewolves, because it makes sense -- people becoming completely different people according to the lunar cycle or moods or something. I'm not exactly all peaches and sunshine 3 days out of every month either. Vampires, as much as the thought of drinking blood completely grosses me out, it also fascinates me that anyone could actually do that -- even though I think most real life "vampires" now are just mimicking what they see in movies -- everybody needs a hobby. And dragons, I used to love horses when I was younger, and a dragon would be like a magical -- more tenacious -- version of that.

  • If you could teach one class at Hogwarts, what would it be and why? Defense Against the Dark Arts -- because I have a deathwish. I like exposing young people to the dangers of the world -- not shielding them from it -- as I feel they can handle it. That or a class that it probably really needs -- Sex Ed. Which could be the same approach. Only, better survival rate. And just imagine the reputation one would have as a liberal Sex Ed teacher? Almost makes me want to go back to school. Not really.

  • This year, The TriWizard Tournament is being held once again and you're of age. Do you put your name in the Goblet? Why or why not? Yes. Can't think of a reason not to. I've taken on more than I can handle in extracuricular activities when I should've been paying more attention to academics before.

  • If you could choose your animagus form, what would it be and why? Dog. Especially when I was younger, before we were allowed to have dogs. Probably a Bernese Mountain Dog -- I like the coloring (sort of like Cujo's and that dog was fierce) and "Remember when we first got married and I said 'I wonder what it would be like to be a bear?'" Big, fluffy, bear-like, loyal, fierce, rescue animals.

  • What HP character do you identify with most and why? Sirius Black or Ginny Weasley, as the girl who starts out sort of shy, until she comes into her own, though is still rather sheltered by her overprotective mum, because she's a girl and 'her only daughter'. But Sirius, mostly for his brother. Reminds me a lot of my brother -- shares our parents' prejudices, has our father's favor -- and who by some odd coincidence does share a personality type with Percy. And because, like Sirius, the only reason I even considered going back to my family was to keep him from falling further into 'bad company'. I know what it's like to feel completely alien in your own home. Much like Harry too. Or Severus Snape -- once a friend of mine sent me an article saying that if there were a murder investigation, Severus Snape would want the crime scene photos -- and I, somewhat jokingly, somewhat dead serious, said, "I would want the crime scene photos!" I think I relate better to others than Snape attempts to though. Some Fred and George -- "What are Fred and I? Next door neighboors?" and in their business starting, though at the beginning of the series, a business-minded person would probably have never guessed that's where they'd end up or take an interest in. But like them, I've always thought those sort of people are prats -- this perception changed as I got older...somewhat. And, like Sirius, by the time I was 10, I knew that my father, though he admires intelligence and courage, has niether, and would probably associate this with all Slytherins. Mostly in joking. Like Sirius, I use humor to difflect personal issues. Though there's about 50% chance my brother is in Gryffindor and my insistence that he's a Slytherin is merely a sibling's perceptions, ala ickle James at the end of Deathly Hallows. Because while he does 'pretend to be racist jerk' to impress his redneck friends, and is lazy, selfish, dependant, and someting of a vain 'pretty boy', he also has a lot of heart. The reckless spending of money and blowing up of mailboxes and other acts of vandalism, could really go either way. And like Sirius, I am incredibly loyal and though I can also identify with Pettigrew's loneliness -- reading 'Order of the Phoenix' I was reminded of a time a friend of mine was relating having seen me sitting beside some boy looking at me, and I was ignoring him, I asked her, "Who was it?" and they said they didn't know, so I simply shrugged, "Probably wasn't anyone interesting anyway." -- And how the other friends must've felt when James and Lily got married -- marriage has a way of isolating people from friends for some reason. I can't relate at all to how cooperative he was with Voldemort's plans -- even though I can relate to Voldemort on some levels too. But at that point, I relate only to Sirius's conviction that "I'd rather die." As well as his sympathy for Barty Crouch Jr.

  • What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised? My heart wants only to be hugged by my dad. Even though I've grown and accepted that it's about as impossible as bringing back the dead. So soon after Christmas and not seeing him, my heart wants nothing else. Or maybe the American dream -- possibly in another country. My heart is a bit of a wanderer. A *devoted* wanderer.

  • If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it? First, my best friend would get to go to the college of her choosing. Probably the Savannah College of Art and Design. That's about 50-70K right there, isn't it? No problem. It's only money.

The rest I would use to fund my own projects. Piling up. One day I might learn not to spread myself too thin. But that day is not today. Tomorrow doesn't look good either.

  • What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now? Veterinarian or artist. Now? Filmmaker, writer. Vet, while the thought of spending more than the required minimum in a structured environment like a school is enough to deter my ambition, the other idea was simply, unless it's already dead, I don't really like the idea of cutting into animals. I like them too much. And even if it's already dead, it's not something I'd do outside of biology class. Simply because I don't see the point -- okay, poke it with a stick. *le sigh* Now, let's go. And the art thing, while I like framing, and perspective and the principles behind that still come in handy in filmmaking, sometime in 4th grade I realized I was a better writer than an artist. Wait, 4th grade is still a kid? Well, then, no I guess it really hasn't changed that much. At all. (But then I know people who say 23 is still a kid, so, I really don't know where the line is anymore).

  • If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it? It'd be an anti-Muffulato hex. Or the Eavesdropping Charm. Sort of like the Extendable Ears, only non-material, so it couldn't be taken away if caught. Why? idk, I think I picked this one because it'd probably be the one that anyone who knows me would think I was most famous for -- and since inventors usually become ridiculously famous, or at least they're inventions do...like overheardinnewyork.com. See? I'm not the only one..."Everyone's a closet-freak."

  • If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus? Cockroaches. It's silly, but I don't really fear anything else. Riddikulus? Ever see the movie Joe's Apartment? yeah, it's harder to be creeped out by something when it's given personality.

  • What do you look for in a friend? Kindness, Honesty, Sense of humor
Kindness - I'm not saying you have to win "Good Samaritan of the Year", in fact you don't even have to try to be nice all the time, to everyone, but to have genuine, kindness in your heart towards all living things, regardless of whether some people believe they deserve it, that's what I mean. Maybe compassion is a better word.
Honesty - While I think 'brutal honesty' is only acceptable when everyone can agree with what is being said. As many people have many different opinions about what is truth. I need at least to be able to trust someone to be upfront about their feelings on a subject and feel comfortable addressing any concerns. Also, I have a few trust issues, and dishonesty, or disloyalty to me is often very rarely forgiven. Dishonesty before disloyalty, unless the two are connected somehow. I've had friends who have lied to me and I've let it go -- after ranting for about an hour or so -- because the lie wasn't worth getting upset over, nor was it really a lie worth telling. Actually kind of funny -- dumb lies people come up with. If it weren't so frustrating sometimes.
Sense of humor - Again, relative, but this is mostly a requirement for being friends with me. If you don't have a sense of humor and take everything I say to heart -- you will not like me. Of course, this is also why I relate a lot to Sirius.

  • What trait most annoys you about other people? Lame pick-up lines. What's your sign? What sort of music do you listen to? Not that I don't like meeting new people, there's just a right and wrong way to do it. As an iNtuitive Feeler, it's difficult for me to comprehend how a person can't relate to other people. Even if they're feeling lonely -- lot's of people feel lonely, it's a universal emotion. Doesn't that make you feel less lonely? Being baited into an argument. I can't argue. I start to agree, or I become tired of trying to convince someone who's more stubborn than I am of something we both disagree on. Or people who have a 'sense of entitlement', without having anything, personality, or achievements, to back it up. That annoys me. Discrimination more than annoys me. It enrages me. The logical response for me seems to be to gather a militia and storm the castle gates -- seconds later, I calm down and attempt to argue.

  • What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?
Creativity, sense of humor, strength, adaptable, loyal

  • What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?
Reckless, avoidant-lately, stubborn, impatient-even in judgements, even though I don't always voice them, opportunistic-even though I feel horribly guilty afterwards, depending on the outcome

  • Define in your own words the following key traits:

    • Courage: Knowing when to act, and standing up for what you believe in when you're scared to death; without compromise
    • Loyalty: When one chooses to devote themselves eternally, unconditionally to another person and/or cause
    • Intelligence: Knowing the difference between the right and wrong way of doing something; a certain amount of shrewdness
    • Ambition: A cut-throat drive to excel or fit in or achieve one's ends; honestly, the first thing I thought of was 'Patrick Bateman'
