Jeff, the god of Biscuits

Fresh meat. ("How'd you find us?" answer edited for bad tag)

  • What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why? I would work at the Ministry in the Department of Mysteries. The idea of researching and working on a team with others to figure seemingly impossible things appeals to me. Either that, or I would be a writer. If you can't figure out the impossible, I'd like to write it.

  • If you could teach one class at Hogwarts, what would it be and why? Transfiguration or Defense Against The Dark Arts. Both require more than a fair share of knowledge on the subject, but (more importantly)both require a lot of practice and understanding of the subject as a whole. You could have read every book on either subject that has ever been written, but you could end up mutilated or seriously injured if you have a lack of understanding.

  • This year, The TriWizard Tournament is being held once again and you're of age. Do you put your name in the Goblet? Why or why not? I do not put my name in. First and foremost, I do not desire that kind of glory. I will support the Hogwarts champion through the end, but seeking that kind of glory does not appeal to me. Don't be mistaken: I am not, under any circumstance, afraid of a challenge. In fact, I embrace challenges. But apart from it not appealing to me, I also know when I am in over my head. I am a far cry from being considered even remotely physically strong. Even if I wanted the glory of the Triwizard cup, I doubt I am fast/strong enough to compete in the physical trials.

  • If you could choose your animagus form, what would it be and why? I would probably take the form of (assuming I can choose the breed) a German Shepard. I've had one myself, and they are as smart as they are loyal. They protect the ones the care about in ways you wouldn't think a dog was capable of. They are also capable of great intimidation if necessary.

  • If you could be written into any HP Series book as a new character, which book would it be, and who would your character be? Why did you choose that book/character? I would be written in to The Goblet of Fire because it's my favorite (more on that later). As for what part I would like to play, that is more difficult. Perhaps a student teacher that shadows Minerva. I'd be younger than Minerva so the students could feel more comfortable approaching me, but also a decent teacher that they would respect. The more people that trust me and talk to me, the more information I could obtain about what is going on at Hogwarts and, hopefully, I could have a hand in helping to protect Harry when Voldemort returns.

  • What is your favorite magical spell/charm? Why? (Please forgive my spelling) alohamora - the spell to open locked doors. If for no other reason than it is very, very practical. Evil geniuses often overlook a tiny detail in favor of their greater plan, and if that tiny detail happened to be an eaily-opened door... well that makes the vanquishing of ones enemies a lot easier.

  • Name three reasons why you would like to be sorted into each House. Gryffindor: 1. History is told by the victors, and the victors are most often the ones brave enough to fight to the end. 2. Who needs to explain the appeal in doing what it right? 3. They're notorious for being very honorable, and of course I would love to life a life filled with honor and valour. Ravenclaw: 1. I’ll take reading over working with my hands any day. 2. One with superior knowledge is always at an advantage over one with superior weapons. 3. A person can be stripped of all their worldly possessions, but it is much more difficult to take their mind. Hufflepuff 1. My dad is a hufflepuff, so although it isnot my favorite, I know the value of a hard day’s work and the rewards that come with it. 2. They are extremely noble. 3. Also extremely faithful. Slytherin 1. Who doesn’t want to end the day with a little more than they started it with? 2. That’s really all I’ve got for Slytherins… sorry.

  • You've received your O.W.L results. What are your results? (You have to have failed or done poorly in at least one subject)
History of Magic: A - the test was more memorization of information, and I excell at applied knowledge
Potions: E - I can follow directions with dilligence
Transfiguration: O - Lots and lots of practice
Divination: A- I can't help it if my third eye doesn't want to open the way Trelawny wants it to!
Defense Against the Dark Arts: O - constant vigilance

  • If you could have any superpower - but only ONE - what would it be? Telepathy with telekenisis

  • What HP character do you identify with most and why? Hmmm... allow me to be pretentious and say Dumbledore. Within my circle of friends, I know what it is like to always be the one others look to for answers. With that comes the pressure of needing to have them. I also feel the need to protect the ones important to me. At the end of the day, that leaves me with a lot to think about, and I would love a magic basin to pour my thoughts into.

  • What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised? I would see my grandma next to me. This as nothing to do with my desires in the wizarding world; she passed away when I was 16 and I miss her a lot.

  • If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it? In the muggle world, I would pay off my school loans. In the wizarding world, I'm sure Hogwarts doesn't come cheap, either. I would make sure my children had plenty of money for their education. And nice dress robes wouldn't hurt, either.

  • Which HP book is your favorite and why? Goblet of Fire. It was so damned clever. I read it after my brothers did and I kept making guesses about the end, to which they replied, "YOu keep taking shots in the dark. You'll never get it", and they were right. Everything was well-written and well-planned out. Delightful.

  • Which HP book is your least favorite and why? The Sorcerer's Stone. It was all necessary exposition, but it did not excite me. I feel that the books go up in reading maturity with each passing year, and - as a result - the first one read more like a children's book. I didn't dislike it, but it is the least exciting one for me to read.

  • What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now? Honest to God, when I was a kid I wanted to be a dinosaur. I wish I was making that up, but I'm not. I used to run around with my arms pulled up in t-rex position roaring at everyone. Now my dreams of reptillian living have passed, and I would love to teach teenagers. The teenage years are the most difficult. That is the period in a youth's life where they want to have nothing to do with their parents, but unfortunately, that is the time when they need guidance the most. I feel it is the responsibility of a teacher to bridge that gap, and that is what I would love to do more than anything else in the world.

  • If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it? It would be called Hateus Erasus. It would remove all the hate, all the biggotry, all the ill-feeling toward mankind from a person. This world would be a better place if we could set aside our differences (and our pride)

  • If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus? Hmm… I think the boggart would turn into an impenetrable fog that I could not see through at all… totally blinding. Riddikulus would whip the fog into a hot air balloon emblazed with a funny phrase like BE SURE TO DRINK YOUR OVALTINE

  • What do you look for in a friend? First and foremost, I need a friend to be honest. If I can’t trust you, then there is nowhere to go from there. Second of all, I need a friend to be open to having a good time and laughing. That’s pretty much it.

  • What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish? I’d like to write a book of creative nonfiction short stories.

  • What trait most annoys you about other people? Dishonesty. Self-importance also bothers me.

  • What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities? Intelligent, creative, loving, responsible, compassionate
  • What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities? I eat a lot of junk food, so I’m indulgent. I’m also stubborn when I set my mind to something, I sometimes can hold grudges, sometimes sardonic, and I am very disorganized

  • Define in your own words the following key traits:

    • Courage: Doing what is right, regardless of the consequences
    • Loyalty: Standing right beside your friend/family/belief regardless of what is going on elsewhere
    • Intelligence: Taking in information and properly applying it
    • Ambition: Getting ahead, damn the people in the way.

  • Name: Colleen M.
  • Age: 20
  • What house do you think DOESN'T fit you? (This question is optional for those who feel they just DO NOT fit in a house. Please explain WHY.)
  • Where did you find out about us? From lionheart22. He's in gryffindor.
