If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?</b>
I'd try to convince people to be more tolerant. I hate it when people look at me and judge me just because I'm white, or shaped like I am. I really hate the mentality that if a culture/religion is different, then it is automatically wrong. One of my pet peeves. I tend to see this a lot because I live in the Southern United States (not deep south, but south enough), and there are a lot of really intolerant people here. An even bigger problem I have is that many of them feel the need to push their beliefs on me, and that I really can't stand. Many of the most obnoxious ones seem to be just repeating what their parents say, so if they were more tolerant, maybe they could make their own decisions.

What makes a person respectable?
If you can be confident in yourself, I respect you. If you have ambition to go somewhere, instead of just doing what everyone else does, I'll respect you. If you make effort, I'll respect you. Basically I feel that if you present yourself as a person worth respecting, I'll do just that. I also feel that you need to respect yourself as an individual. I don't like the girls who do everything and anything they can just to get a boy to look at them. I can't respect a person who only feels valuable when other people deem them so. So basically, you need to act like you respect yourself as an individual, and be confident with yourself.

What do you look for in a friend?
I really like people who can speak their mind and have their own opinions on things. I also tend to make friends with people who think, instead of just following the other people. Plus, being friendly and open is a plus, since I am very shy and usually don't approach people. I really like to talk to people about politics, and school, and some deep and interesting things. I think this comes from my high school, where we used to talk about that sort of thing all the time. So if you come up to me and start talking ethics, or start talking about the election or something similar, I'll probably warm up to you pretty quickly. For me to consider you as a friend, I need to be able to have a good conversation with you.

What are your hobbies?
I love to read (especially fantasy), and I spend a lot of time in the Anime fandom. I write fanfiction, listen to random music, and ride horses occasionally. I also really like to watch movies, mostly comedy, animated, or scifi. I want to become more active in politics, and I'm very interested in Asian culture, and would like to go to Japan someday.

Have or would you give time and money to a charity?
I have given money to the Red Cross for the hurricanes (since I went through one myself I know how horrible it is). I also did a lot of volunteering through school, including helping my mother teach science.

What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish?
I really want to be successful. Both of my parents were successful, and have a lot of expectations for me, and I feel that I am capable of it. Really most of my long term goals relate to my success in career. I was tested in elementary school as "gifted" academically, so that's where my development had mostly led me. Because of this, I tend to measure my accomplishments in the school arena right now. However, I have had jobs, and I also seek accomplishments in work. I feel good when I do well, and angst about it when I don't, so I tend to be a perfectionist in those areas. If I'm not successful, I do get kind of depressed, and question myself. I feel like my drive to succeed will go on and end up in academic and career accomplishments.

Who is your role model?
I never really had a "set" role model, but my mother was really important to me. She was really strong, and not afraid of disagreeing with other people. She also gave me advice for my various problems. She gets her strength from living in New York, and she's used to fighting for what she wants. She's helped me with getting into college, dealing with personal problems, dealing socially (which I usually don't do very well), and dealing with work. She's always taken time to answer my phone calls and talk to me in the car. I just feel like she's always been there.

What trait most annoys you about other people?
Well, I really hate pet names. I can't stand walking behind some girl whining about how cute her "boo" is. I don't know why it bothers me so much, but it does. I think that ties in with how I dislike people who only care about impressing someone else. I need to see some independence in people, and seeing someone just fawn and coo over somebody who only wants to use them is appaling. I guess pet names are okay on occasion, but if I have to listen to it for more than five minutes, my mood is completely ruined. I need to hear about something different. Your life isn't all about your "baby" or "boo".

What do you want to do for a living?
I want to be involved in the government some how. I'd like to be a politician or a diplomat. This would allow me to go to Japan, and other places I'm interested in, and it would allow me to have my input matter. I want to make a change in the world, because I don't particually like the way it is being run now. It depresses me that people my age don't care, and don't vote, so I feel that I need to make up for that gap. I feel better when I get involved in something big, and the government is the biggest thing of all. This seems to me the best way to reach my goal of success and my attempt to make the country a little bit better.

If your friend was attacked (by a person, animal, or (in the magic world) beast), what would you do?
I'd try to help my friend first. Try to chase off the animal or something, then call anyone who could help. I try to be quick in a difficult situation, and medical issues would be the first thing I would notice. However, I admit I'd be scared. I tend to get really paranoid about things, especially in the dark or in a place I don't know. But my friends are important to me, because I don't have many of them, so I would feel really bad if I don't help them somehow. I also will defect to authority, so if the police or anything equivelent to that came I would assist them in whatever they needed.

Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason?
I would never want to kill anyone, but if there was some greater societal good, decided by the society and not just me, I would use an Unforgivable curse. I tend to follow the law, unless I feel that it is blatently wrong. Wrong would be taking away a choice that could save a person's life. If Avada Kedavra is the ONLY possible way to keep an innocent from dying, I would use it. I think I have a strong sense of justice, and when something is wrong/illegal, I will fight strongly against it.

What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?
My intelligence has always been celebrated, but I've always depended on it heavily as well. I like doing well in school, I like using large and complicated words, and I like reading books that no one else I know would touch. My maturity is something I value as well. I try to guide my friends through tough times, and I try to be kind and helpful to people. I am also open-minded, and I try to be tolerant of everyone. Even if I get very angry at something, I'll usually keep it to myself. My creativity is something I'm very proud of, because I can imagine things that are just completely random. I work out my story plots in my head, and doodle way too much in my notebooks. Finally, I really like my determination. When I'm interested in something, I will work non stop to get it done.

What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?
I've been stubborn since I was a child. Sometimes I don't want to let go of my ideas, even though they may be wrong or not well thought out. I feel my shyness and suspicion of people get in the way sometimes, making it hard for me to make good friends and talk to people. Usually I just hole myself up and read, or surf the net. I don't like talking to guys that just walk up and talk to me, because I get nervous that they are trying to tease me or fool around with me. I also don't like how when I do get nervous, I tend to seem aloof. I shut up and pull into my own sphere, and I think people percive that as being "superior" than them. Finally, I really don't like my fear of heights. I know it's not really a quality, but I hate it and I wish I could get over it. Planes make me sick, and I have a hard enough time sleeping on my bunk.

Define in your own words the following key traits:
Courage: The ability to stand up for your opinions. You can go against the crowd and really be your own person, even though society wants you to be something different.
Loyalty: The trust you have in your friends. You also should feel comfortable doing anything with your friends and that you will end up safe and happy at the end. Trust is a big deal with me.
Intelligence: Your mental ability, how competent you are. You need to be able to hold a good conversation and have your own opinions.
Ambition: The push for you to reach a goal. You need to have a goal, first of all, and you need to work to reach it. If you don't work, you don't have ambition, plain and simple.
