If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? I would want to get rid of the self-centered attitudes that people seem to have nowadays; not in the sense that people think that they are so much better than everyone else in the world but rather that they are so wrapped up in their own lives and problems that they forget to look around and recognize that other people have problems too. Because then, hopefully, people would help each other out more without expecting anything in return, and life would be a whole lot easier for everyone.

What makes a person respectable? A person is respectable if they have a set system of beliefs that they are willing to stand by even if they are not the most popular opinions among other people, if they are kind to all people and treat everyone equally despite the differences they may have, if they are willing to help and learn from others, and if they are a generally happy, loving, and giving person.

Yet it seems unreasonable to expect all of that from just one person, which it is, that was just my take on a person who would get my utmost highest respect [i.e. a perfect person]. However there are other singular traits that would gain respect in my book, such as if a person lived a particularly difficult life [faced severe illness, a death in the family, poverty, etc.] and still managed to keep a relatively positive outlook on life. Another example would be if a person was willing to put themselves out there completely, risking judgement, without worrying about what other people thought of them, as long as they were being themselves.

What do you look for in a friend? When I look for a friend, I look for someone who I can have a good time with so I would want someone with a good sense of humour,a strong desire to have fun, and a bit of a wild/crazy streak. For a really close friend I would also want them to be trustworthy and open so that I could confide in them and so that they would be willing to confide in me.

What are your hobbies? I don't really have any. I play the flute in the school band but it's not like I practice in my spare time for the heck of it or anything. I'm not artsy and I don't play any sports. So I guess I'd have to say reading and writing, but mostly reading. The reason for that is because I like being transported to a different world, as cheesy as that sounds, because reality is just so boring. There is no (literal) magic in reality nor is there fighting evil. Love isn't as idealistic and life isn't as action packed. I don't like writing as much but that's what I do. I prefer coming up with the ideas and plotlines for things [for example I helped a friend of mine come up with a soap opera to play out on the Sims] but I hate the actual mechanics of piecing it all together. Nonetheless I will write cheesy romance stories for my friends if they want me to.

Have or would you give time and money to a charity? In the past I haven't really given very much time or money to charities simply because I'm broke and because there aren't any charities where you can take action near where I live. However I did volunteer at a soup kitchen once when I was doing the 30-Hour Famine for my friend's church. When I get older and get a steady job I would be interested in giving money to charities for AIDS in particular but also for various cancers and this thing where you can pay for children in third world countries to get operations to fix their cleft lips.

What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish?Travel the world and be absorbed in all the different cultures and lifestyles. I'd go into more detail if I could list more of what I'd like to accomplish but as it says one I'll leave it at that. There's not much to explain other than that other people fascinate me so seeing a bunch of different kinds [that sounds weird...kinds] would be ideal. Plus by traveling to different places I'd get to learn a bunch of different things [like surfing, boating, farming, etc.] and see all the natural beauty the world has to offer.

Who is your role model? I don't have one set role model but various traits I admire in separate people. For example I admire that Courtney Love is so outgoing [...Even though it leads to flashing people and throwing microphone stands at them] and how she doesn't seem to care what other people think about her [although that may be the effect of drugs]. My 10th grade bio teacher would also be in the list because she is just one of the coolest people ever. I can't really explain what it is that I admire about her because it doesn't sound right when I try but she is just all around great. She taught me not to look so critically at other people [even though I still have trouble with that] and she also listened to me babble about some of the stupidest things ever. And for fictional characters I also admire Elle from Legally Blonde [I have NO idea why] and also Maggie Craven from the Daughters of the Moon series because of her spirituality.

What trait most annoys you about other people? Self righteousness which is pretty darn hypocritical of me since I can be self righteous though I very rarely realize it...Maybe it's just a human thing but it annoys me. Like when people think that they are the first and only ones to ever experience something and they therefore think that they are better than everyone else and all knowing on that particular subject. It also annoys me when people won't tell you if they're mad at you but they'll tell all your other friends so that you have to find out through one of them.

What do you want to do for a living? I can never really decide what I want to do for a living because it changes pretty much every day. To give you a general idea, recently I have been thinking of becoming an author, a costume designer, a research scientist for neuroscience or psychology, an actress, a screenwriter, and many others. But then again maybe I'll just end up living in a hut in the woods, only working as a waitress when I needed a bit of cash.

If your friend was attacked (by a person, animal, or (in the magic world) beast), what would you do? Well I think my initial reaction to a person attacking my friend would be to scream as loud as I possibly could...Although that really isn't a smart idea in the muggle or magical world...However it would probably distract the attacker long enough for my friend to get away but then I'd be dead meat. If I were to actually think up a plan to stop a muggle attack it would be to jump on their back to try to disarm them and if that didn't work I'd kick 'em in the crotch and run like hell [for an animal attack in the muggle world I would probably just try to distract it]. In a magical attack [of any sort] I'd put a full body bind on them, get my friend, and then run for it.

Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason? While I'm very opposed to the unforgivable curses I would most likely, at some point, attempt to use one as I have a very sharp temper and am very easily annoyed. I doubt that I would use the Imperious Curse because that seems to have a specific aim behind it as well as a thought out plan [i.e. Draco using Imperius against Madame Rosmerta to try to kill Dumbledore] and by the time it was ready to be implemented, I would have cooled off and seen reason. I also don't see myself attempting the Avada Kedavra Curse unless the person killed someone I loved or was a source of absolute evil and needed to be destroyed. Most likely I would attempt the Cruciatus Curse in a fit of anger though ineffectively because the source of power it was coming from was not a place of genuine and absolute hatred.

What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?
1. I'm very analytical and like to observe people and situations which allows me to give good advice most of the time[even though no one ever listens to anything I say]
2. I'm relatively creative and can come up with pretty cool ideas and stories and stuff [although it doesn't sound like it seeing as I couldn't even come up with a better word for 'stuff']
3. I'm passionate about the things that interest me, such as particular books, movies, etc. I like to absorb them into my life and whatnot.
4. I can remember the most minute details of past experiences...But not the important stuff like when various appointments are.
5. I'm very idealistic which could go either way as a pro or a con. As a negative it makes it so that I resent/refuse to accept reality and as a positive it could potentially give hope in a seemingly despondent situation or er...Improve the quality of the world if one decided to act upon the idealism.

What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?
1. I almost never think before I speak which leads to me saying some really stupid things that I later obsess over, leading to extreme anxiety...[See traits 2 and 3] For example when I don't think things through it's usually about something that I want...But then it turns out that I don't really want it and then I want to take it back because it was so incredibly stupid [And we're talking all in a matter of seconds/minutes]
2. I tend to overthink/obsess over things that have already happened and then I can't erase them from my memory even if the other people have already forgotten about it...And then I will probably mention it to them [the people involved] to explain that I know that whatever it was was really stupid which causes them to remember it and then I obsess over the fact that I have just made everything worse...Yeah...Oh and sometimes things I'm passionate about turn to obsession as well
3. I'm anxious. About pretty much everything. Right.
4. I'm very lazy and I'm not exactly sure why. I think most of it stems from a hatred to do anything that I don't want to do or haven't decided to do on my own [another problem in itself] But I am most content reading, watching TV, or sleeping
5. I hate to be wrong and I'm very stubborn. I mention these two traits as one because they go hand in hand. Most often I'm only being stubborn because someone is saying that I am wrong. And then I will go to incredible lengths to prove that I am right even if I sound like an idiot in the process. Then with those two combined I hold grudges assuming that 1. the other person is in the wrong and that I am right and 2. I therefore won't admit I'm wrong

Define in your own words the following key traits:
Courage: When someone makes a concious decision to face up to something that they are afraid of

Loyalty: Willingness to stand by a person, group of people, idea or other such thing that one puts faith in despite what other people will think

Intelligence: The belief that one can always learn more and an acquiescence to do so

Ambition: A drive to achieve something that one wants, no matter what, despite any obstacle that might need to be overcome

What house do you think DOESN'T fit you? (This question is optional for those who feel they just DO NOT fit in a house. Please explain WHY.) Um I don't think I'd fit in very well with Gryffindor because, unfortunately, I am not a very brave person. As a matter of fact I'm actually a pretty big wimp

Where did you find out about us? I was reading my friends page and one of them, loweryourwand, had just submitted to here so I wanted to see what it was about and decided to have a go myself
