If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
If I could change one thing about the people around the world, it would be to bring back determination and confidence in themselves. There is a great deal of people out there who give up right away and cease trying. These sort of people have to gain their confidence back. They need to persevere through tough times and stay strong throughout. Giving up is almost like letting your life slowly melt away.
I would like to use the movie National Treasure as an example. Basically what happens in the movie is that Ben Gates, a treasure hunter, is searching for deeply hidden treasure that his family generations and generations before him have been looking for. He never gave up searching for that treasure, even though many people (including his father) believed the treasure to be a myth, therefore not real. However, Ben never gave up. His belief stayed firm and strong until the end, and guess what finally happened? He finds the treasure. He persevered. He was extremely determined to find that treasure and fulfill his family's search.
Okay, so the National Treasure thing was somewhat of a corny example. So here's a heartfelt situation instead. I was watching Extreme Makeover: Home Edition the other day, and they were building a house for a single mother and her children. However, her daughter was kidnapped several years ago (I think it was around 1995) and no one has seen her since. You would think that her mother had given up hope, but no, she is as determined as ever to find her baby girl. Even as a single-mother, she started a non-profit organization for finding lost children. Now that woman has some perseverance and faith. She's always hoping to find her child and never loses hope. She holds her head up high, shoulders back, and never falters.
Hey, you only have one life. Better make good use of it. You never know what you will accomplish in the end.
What makes a person respectable?
Honesty. Seriously, there really needs to be more honest people in the world. Honesty is a characteristic that is rarely found in people, and therefore is a kind of trait I respect. We all lie and are hypocritical, you've got to admit that, but a person who always ends up telling the truth in the end is a person of great respect.
Manners is another great attribute in a person. I cannot stand a person who has no manners at all. Come on, you've got to be polite. Oh boy, do I have a great example for this. When Tom Cruise was being interviewed by Matt Lauer on the Today Show, Tom Cruise was being extremely rude. Lauer was asking Cruise questions about Scientology, and Cruise suddenly starts talking in an over-powering sort of way saying that Lauer should really learn more about this topic before even questioning about it. Cruise got all mad about it and actually started to 'lecture' Lauer. I mean, relax man. Lauer's just interviewing you, he's doing his job - asking questions and finding answers. At least Lauer kept his composure and stayed calm. He did not fight back. He had his manners.
What do you look for in a friend?
A person who have a sense of humor is one of the qualities I'd look for in a friend. Everyone needs a laugh once in a while, or maybe quite frequently, like me. ;] I love making people laugh, as well as laughing at people's jokes. Just one smile really brightens up my day.
Secondly, I look for a loyal & honest friend. A person who is and will be there for you through thick and thin, through troubled times, through all your ups and downs is a person who would be my friend. Someone who is always by your side, backing you up whenever you need their help. That's a great trait I'd look for in a friend.
Last of all, a friend of mine needs to be somewhat intelligent, have some common sense, and be able to survive on his/her own. He/she needs to be able to think things through without always needing assistance. Pretty much, I'm describing a person who is able to last on their own; be independent. Although this might interfere a little with the second trait I mentioned (loyalty), I can't always be there for that person. What if there is a terrible problem that I need to battle myself and I'm not able to help my friend at that moment? He/she has to work it out on her own, and I'll come as soon as I am able to.
What are your hobbies?
I absolutely love, both listening to it and espcially playing along to it. I play the piano, guitar, and flute in my spare time, and I'm in the school band. I am also a sports lover, as I play a lot of tennis and basketball. I'm really into the computer/internet as well, which is kind of a bad thing since I'm always getting yelled at to get off the computer. :/ I go on it a lot, usually to check out LJ stuff, or create some icons and design graphics. I am an avid reader, and I particularly like reading and re-reading Harry Potter books. :] I watch a lot of television. Eh, another bad hobby since I watch too much TV. One of my favorite shows is American Idol. This list of hobbies could go on and on.. but I'm just going to mention one last hobby of mine. Obsessing over Ryan Seacrest is one of my 'hobbies,' if you'd rather. Yes, Ryan Seacrest is my role model. (you'll read more about him later ;])
Have or would you give time and money to a charity?
Of course. Yes, everyone who wants to sound like and angel says that, but I'm really serious here. Look, for instance, going to church. The tradition is to give an offering to the church, usually a dollar or more. My family always donates money to the church. When I grow up (since I don't have any money of my own at my age), I won't be stingy and not offer any money. No matter how poor (or possibly rich) I may be, I will donate some money of my own.
Yes, I have contributed to a charity before. There was this Telethon for the Center for the Disabled nearby, which aired on TV, but I wanted to go to the place they were taping it instead of just watching it on TV (this was partly due to Ryan Seacrest hosting the program ^^;). I got there, called in from my cell phone, and offered a large amount of money. It felt good to be helping those people. I stayed for almost the whole day. It's was one of the best days of my life since, well, honestly, I met Ryan Seacrest. Still, I contributed to the program and helped them out.
What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish?
I would love to finish school and become a successful doctor. I suppose you could say I'm one of those over-achievers, but I'm really ambitious. Right now, schooling plays a key role in my life as it will carry me through the rest of my life.
Who is your role model?
Oh, I love this question. Ryan Seacrest is definitely my role model. Okay, so you're thinking a celebrity for a role model - whatever. Ryan Seacrest is a great guy. He's hardworking, ambitious, fashionable, intelligent, honest, kind, a good orator, and last of all, he is a gentleman. Oh, and it won't hurt to say that he's gorgeous too. ;] He's a very respectable person and treats everyone, including his fans, like he's known them for his whole life. He's a person full of laughs, smiles, and life. In my eyes, Seacrest is amazing. He started out as a young boy in high school working at a radio station, and ended up becoming host of American Idol. This was a long and tough journey for him, as he had to work his hardest to get into show business, which isn't the easiest thing if you really think about it. So that is why Ryan Seacrest is my role model.
What trait most annoys you about other people?
Oh ho ho, do I have an answer for this. Narcissism, period. I get very annoyed when I meet people who have the biggest ego ever. They are so self-centered and never even try to think about the people around them and their feelings. It's like when you're talking to a person and they don't even listen to you because they're probably thinking about something else. At least show some sign that you're actually listening to the person talking to you. Nod, or say something. Show that you're actually interested in what the other person is saying. Otherwise, that's just plain rude.
What do you want to do for a living?
As stated above, I would love to become a doctor. If that doesn't work out though.. I'd like to go into some kind of business. However, something inside of me makes me want to achieve something that has an even bigger risk. I'd like to become something like a host, actress, or a musician, even though I may not be the best at it. It just sounds really fun having one of those jobs, even though you might not even be famous or have the greatest life. It's just doing what you love to do.
If your friend was attacked (by a person, animal, or (in the magic world) beast), what would you do?
Call for help immediately on my handy-dandy cell phone. Then I would try to fight this 'opponent' using my oh-so-famous karate skills (lol). Tackling, kicking, punching, or hitting with a stick sounds like a good idea to me. ;] Otherwise if that doesn't work, I would try to get my friend to a safe place as soon as possible.
Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason?
Well now, that depends. If I just happened to encounter Lord Voldemort and he's threatening to kill my family or any of my relatives, I would probably consider using an Unforgivable Curse in the back of my head, as a last resort.

Define in your own words the following key traits:
Courage: Courage is the ability to face treacherous situations without backing down. It's about having the guts to carry out brave acts and overcome your fears.
Loyalty: When a person is loyal to a friend, they should have a feeling of devotion. This person must remain hopeful and faithful to his/her friend and should never backstab that person.
