If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? I would probably change the way that people look at one another. What I mean is that I wish that everyone could be more accepting of one another, instead of just looking at someone and automatically judging them. I think that creates a lot of tension and it's quite unnecessary. I know that we all can make judgements, but I just wish that if we saw someone who didn't have the nicest clothes or best skin, that we wouldn't automatically write them off as being worthless. I would rather have people get to know one another, get inside their personalities before they made the decision that they didn't like them.
What makes a person respectable? I think when a person stays true to themself, they become respectable. When a person does not change the person that they are, no matter the circumstance. A person becomes respectable when they don't listen to what other people think and just always be themselves. Not imitating anyone and just being the person that they truly are.
What do you look for in a friend? In a friend, I look for someone that can make me laugh. That is probably one of the biggest things that matters while looking for a friend, because I love humor. I also look for someone who I have a lot im common with, and can just talk for hours without having any awkward silences. I look for someone who I can honestly have a really good time with, no matter if we're out dancing or just sitting around eating popcorn at their house.
What are your hobbies? I'm a dancer, and have danced for about ten years. I'm an actress at my school, and participate in all of the plays and musicals. I am a member of the International Thespian Society and used to be a member of the choir. But out of everything, I would say that I enjoy dancing the most because it's the biggest outlet you can find. Any frustrations, sadness, anger, anything you are going through, can be worked out through dance. The trick is just to let everything go that you are thinking about and put all of your emotions into dancing it all out.
Have or would you give time and money to a charity? Yes, I gave a portion of the money that I received for my Sweet 16 to the Bubel-Aiken foundation for autistic children. I didn't think I should have kept all the money for myself, because there are others less fortunate than I who deserve to have some good fortune come their way.
What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish? I have a dream to become a writer one day, and I would very much like to accomplish that goal. Writing is something that I enjoy because, again, it's another outlet for me. I can just write about whatever I'm feeling (thank God for livejournal, lol) and even turn it into something that others would want to read. I like creating imaginary things and people, and think I might have a talent for it. Because of my immense love for writing, I'm hoping to accomplish becoming a writer one day.
Who is your role model? This is hard for me to say, because I have so many wonderful people in my life. But I would have to say that my role model is my grandfather, whom I call Papi. Papi is the most wonderful person I know. He is forgiving and generous and has a heart of gold. I know that whatever may happen in my life, he will always be by my side, offering to help. That is the way he has always been, and I have admired him this way since I was a small child. I've never known a person as kind as my grandfather, and as selfless. I honestly don't know what I would do without him.
What trait most annoys you about other people? The trait that annoys me most about other people is how some people my age take their parents or guardians for granted. I know that at the time, they may not let you stay out past 2am or go out with a boy or girl they don't like, but you always have to remember that they are looking out for your best interests. They don't want to see you hurt, which is why they might be strict sometimes. It just really hurts me when I see some of my friends saying "Oh, I hate my mom, she won't let me do this or that", and I just think to myself...what if you didn't even have a mom to look after you? I really just cannot stand it when people I know take their parents for granted.
What do you want to do for a living?Ultimately I want to be a writer at some magazine or newspaper. I explained above my love for writing, and I would love to put it to use. I'm hoping to be a English/Communications major in college, and I believe that will help me make my living as a writer.
If your friend was attacked (by a person, animal, or (in the magic world) beast), what would you do? Of course I would try to help them! I know that even if I got hurt myself, the most important thing at the time would be to help them and make sure that they don't get hurt any further. I cannot stand the thought of this happening to any of my friends..
Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason? I would, but only if I most positively had to. I think that I would only use an Unforgivable Curse if the lives of others or my own life was being endangered. I'm sure it would depend on the person I would be using it on, I might not use it on someone who I'm close to because I wouldn't want to hurt them, even if they were trying to hurt me. I would probably try to talk them out of the sitation before going to the lengths of using an Unforgivable Curse.
What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities? My best qualities are my ability to listen with an open mind, to get to know someone before I make any decisions about them, to be kind to those that have done wrong to me (which is very hard at times), my intellect, and also some people tell me that I'm one of the nicest people they've ever met.
What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities? My worst qualities are the fact that I can be very insecure at times, that I tend to get very wrapped up in certain things and forget about others, sometimes being too nice (which gives others reason to be cruel to me...don't ask, it's high school),I sometimes doubt myself which I know I shouldn't do, and sometimes I can be a little over-confident (I know it's odd, when I can be insecure too...I can't really explain it)
Define in your own words the following key traits:
Courage: Courage is the ability to stand up against anything and just face it. To fight what you believe isn't right, and not get scared of what may happen or even think about backing down.
Loyalty: Loyalty is sticking by the side of whatever it may be that you adore, and not forgetting about it once something better comes along. In the case of friends, loyalty is always being honest and sticking by your friend's side no matter what other people say and ignoring the things that may draw you away from being loyal.
Intelligence: Intelligence is the way you make decisions, I believe. Do you just barely think about it and make your decision, or do you actually contemplate and try to do what's best, rather than just getting it over and done with? Also, intelligence is being able to read between the lines and finding out what things really mean, instead of just seeing things for their surface value.
Ambition: Ambition is how much you want something. Would you do anything to get it, or do you have a more relaxed approach? I find that the most ambitious people tend to get very far because they are no holds barred, going to do whatever it takes to reach their goal, no matter who or what they have to step over in the process.
What house do you think DOESN'T fit you? (This question is optional for those who feel they just DO NOT fit in a house. Please explain WHY.)
