If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? I would place more cultural importance on the arts in America. It just seems so wrong that so many high schools across the nation cut the arts programs first when money gets tight.
What makes a person respectable? While I respect intelligence, its really more about how they use it. I respect people who have common sense.
What do you look for in a friend? Similiar hobbies or interests is always a place to start. Someone who I can laugh with, and be silly and childish with. And someone who I can count on to support me, when things are more serious.
What are your hobbies? Music- playing clarinet and guitar, going to concerts and clubs for live shows. Watching movies, working in the theatre, reading, hanging out with friends in between classes, making up outrageous stories and entertaining my friends with them.
Have or would you give time and money to a charity? I have donated to charity before, but I rather volunteer my time and do some work to help people rather than give money (which I don't have much of myself) to people I don't know.
What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish? I've got life plans, but they could change. I just want to live a long, good life. As long as I'm a happy crazy old lady when I go, I've probably accomplished plenty.
Who is your role model? Heather Gilbert, my lighting design professor. I want to be here when I grow up, which should be soon considering she's about 10 years older than me. She was a freelance lighting designer for years and has her masters from DePaul Univeristy. Now she's a professor at my university and she's a favorite of the students. While some of the well liked teachers are pushovers, she's tough and fair and won't let people walk all over her.
What trait most annoys you about other people? Reckless driving annoys me the most right now. I was in a car accident a couple of months ago and now since I'm so nervous about cars, other people seem to lose their heads and almost wreck me again.
What do you want to do for a living? I'm a theatre techie. I want to be the resident master electrician of a theatre where I design lights for a show or two each season. I also want to get into lighting for television and film, get my masters in design in a few years, and eventually teach.
If your friend was attacked (by a person, animal, or (in the magic world) beast), what would you do? Quickly access the situation and get my friend out of there, distracting the animal if I can, trying to intimidate the person by getting my b**** on, or just grabbing my friend and running.
Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason? Its difficult to say, the person that I am now wouldn't, but if I were ever put through extreme circumstances I might be the type of person who could.
What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities? I am a cynical optimist, which is really fun. I am pretty creative as a designer, and I'm smart. I'm quite empathetic when it comes to the emotions of others. And because of my scenery construction class, I can operate a plasma cutter and can weld.
What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities? I'm a big procrastinator, and also a perfectionist, which leads to many all nighters when projects are due. I'm shy around strangers and talk too much when I'm in comfortable company. I'm too independant at times, which leads to loneliness. I have a hard time following a leader without questioning authority.
Define in your own words the following key traits:
Courage: To feel fear and still be able to do what needs to be done.
Loyalty: Willingness to support, listen, follow, or even die for a person or a cause.
Intelligence: Ability to learn, potential for storing and using information
Ambition: Drives one to do the best they possibly can
What house do you think DOESN'T fit you? Slytherin. Not that I don't like Slytherins, or think I couldn't hang out with cunning people. But I'd be quite uncomfortable in their common room given my ophidiophobia (irrational fear of snakes).
