Please sort me!

If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? I’d make people, humanity in general, less selfish. There’s so much emphasis in modern culture on Living For Number One, and it makes me sick. You can’t just live for yourself; well, obviously, you can, but I think there’d be a lot less pain in this world if less people used that idea as a life philosophy.
What makes a person respectable? A person who is true to herself despite how people look at her is always respectable to me, because that’s damn hard. Intelligence never hurts. Nor does selflessness and generosity. People who put themselves out there.
What do you look for in a friend? Compatible interests, a dry sense of humor, intelligence, loyalty. I don’t really go looking for friends- I’m not really an outgoing person- but the people I do end up being friends with are usually really silly people. You’ve got to be able to have fun; being too serious or weirdly mature all the time is boring. At the same time, though, it’s important to me that my friends not be shallow or one dimensional- I can talk about Fraggle Rock or Shakespeare with my friends. I like people who are physically affectionate. Trust is incredibly important to me, as well.
What are your hobbies? I read everything I can get my hands on, usually two or three times. I write all the time, and draw a lot. And, sort of shamefully, I have this penchant for bad TV on MTV- you know, Real World and that sort of stuff? Yeah. I can’t help it.
Have or would you give time and money to a charity? I’ve given money in the past and I’d like to donate time, once I get my own reliable transportation.
What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish? I want to be a novelist. That’s all. That’s the most important goal in my life.
Who is your role model? This is dorky and weird, but have you ever seen the movie Garden State? The character of Sam is just totally herself, comfortable with herself and outgoing and okay with her life. She’s weird and charming and finds the good in bad situations. And that’s what I want to be able to do. That’s what I want for myself.
What trait most annoys you about other people? When they can consistently only think about themselves. That might mean constantly talking about their own problems or life without asking you about yours, or refusing to do anything that they don’t absolutely love doing even if it would make someone else happy, or only worrying about themselves. I also can’t stand people who won’t accept others’ opinions.
What do you want to do for a living? I want to be a novelist, not necessarily like JK or…I don’t know, Dan Brown, or whatever. I’m not after fame. I just want to write something that affects someone somewhere in a real way, and I want to be able to support myself doing it. That’s my idea of a perfect job.
If your friend was attacked (by a person, animal, or (in the magic world) beast), what would you do? Look, you do NOT hurt my friends. I’d do my best to get my friend away from the situation, even if it meant putting myself in danger, and I’d make sure they were okay, and then…well, I’d do my best to make sure that the attacker never got another chance to attack.
Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason? I don’t think so. I’d like to think not, anyway. I’m really a pacifist at heart, except when it comes to defending those I love. Still, I don’t think I could bring myself to Crucio or kill anyone. Maybe Imperius, if it were in a situation where that would save someone.
What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?
1. I’m a pretty smart person. It sounds vain, but I’m sort of that girl you hate in your hard classes- I get As on tests without really studying. Most things come easily to me, except math things. It’s not something I strive for, it’s just how I’m blessed.
2. I’m loyal to a fault. I’ll do pretty anything for the people I care about, no question, and I’m very trustworthy.
3. I’m intuitive. I’m pretty good at reading emotions and understanding where people are coming from. This makes me very tolerant of a lot of things, and ultimately more forgiving than the average person.
4. I’m creative and I try to exercise my creativity daily.
5. I never give up on anything. It can get pretty annoying, actually. I just won’t let things go and refuse to stop trying even if the cause is pretty hopeless. I guess we can call that tenacity.
What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?
1. I’m waaaaay too emotional. I have mood swings like whoa, and I get hurt or upset pretty easily. I’m not able to do things half way-when I care about something, I’m ALL the way in it, which can be sort of creepy and intense.
2. I’m very insecure about myself. I just sort of assume that people will dislike me and so I’m not nearly as outgoing as I’d like, and it takes a lot to convince me that I’m actually wanted.
3. I’m a procrastinator. I justify this by saying I work better under pressure, but really it’s just because I like to pretend that I don’t HAVE to do things until…whoops…it’s the night before whatever is due and I’m in deep trouble.
4. I get annoyed pretty easily and have a somewhat hard time hiding that. I mean, I try to be tactful, but my real feelings just sort of seep out of my eyes, or something, and it offends people.
5. I’m pretty needy. Attention and affection make me very, very happy and not getting any makes me very, very sad.
Define in your own words the following key traits:
Courage: The ability to take a deep breath and do things that really scare you because they’re important or necessary. Someone who isn’t afraid of heights and goes bungee jumping isn’t courageous, and somebody is who but goes bungee jumping just to prove that they can may be brave, but not courageous. There has to be an outside cause and an element of sacrifice for true courage to exist.
Loyalty: The willingness/tendency to sacrifice yourself for someone. Not necessarily in a big way; refusing to talk about a friend even though it would help you gain social status is loyalty.
Intelligence: Oh, god, this one is harder. The ability to assess situations accurately and act accordingly, maybe?
Ambition: A desire to be successful and get yourself ahead. Ambition is all about the drive to win, to be the best. In a lot of cases, it means you think about yourself before others, but that’s not necessarily true.

Name: Rin
Age: 18
What house do you think DOESN'T fit you? Slytherin. Don’t get me wrong- I love Slytherin, and think it gets a lot of misrepresentation. It’s just that pride and ambition aren’t big facets of my personality. Have them, but they aren’t really what drive me.
