  1. What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why?
Okay so I tossed around two ideas for a while, because they appeal to me. One was auror because that would be a fantastic job, where you would get to be bad ass and fight evil like 24/7. But in the end, it wasn’t that that I chose. If I could have any one job in the wizarding world, I would want to be Minister of Magic. Mostly because I love to be in charge. I tend to take charge in most situations. Some might call it bossy, I call it leadership qualities (;) ). And I can handle chaos very well. As my grandfather says about me, I can organize a toddlers birthday party out of a bull fight. So ultimately I’d want to be the one handling the business of the magical world. And getting to play in both it and the muggle world fairly regularly.
  2. You have to venture deep into the Forbidden Forest one night. Pick one Harry Potter character other than Hagrid and one object (muggle or magical), besides your wand, that you'd want with you.
If I had to journey deep into the forbidden forest, well, there would be a part of me that would want to go alone, as I would not want to possibly endanger the life of a friend. And for those who know me, I’m an obnoxious overachiever and am fairly confident in me. But if I were to pick someone, it would be, Mad Eye Moody. Because he seems to know a lot about protecting oneself, and the whole roaming eyeball would be helpful too. I feel he’d probably be amongst some of the people most qualified to keep me alive in the forest. As for an object…well with a wand you can get pretty much anything you want really. I guess I would have to say a broom, so that I could fly out of the creepy forbidden forest at a moment’s notice if necessary.
  3. If you had the opportunity to live forever, but your family and friends did not, what would you choose? And if you did choose to live forever, what would you do with eternity?
I would choose not to live forever. It would have to be a package deal. My closest friends and family would have to be able to live forever too. While the idea of never dying sounds appealing at first, especially if you imagine all the gruesome ways you can go, I feel that it would become tiresome. Unless the world really changed a lot, you would run out of things to do, things to see. And it would be painful to watch your family and friends die. And then your new family and friends die. And then your new family and friends die. And then your new family and friends die. And then your new family and friends die. I think you get the point. The only solution to the loss problem is to simply avoid people, not fall in love, and not make friends, which I think would lead to a very bleak existence. So, yes, I would want to live my normal life, do as much as I could with it, and then die whenever it is my time and hope it isn’t a terrible death.
  4. If you could travel back in time to one point, when and where would you go? Why?
Wow, tough one. There’s lots of cool things in history to see. You could go back in time and kill Hitler, polyjuice potion yourself to be him and stop a war and a horrible treatment of an entire group of people. Or you could go back to renaissance times, which has always been a draw for me. Or you could see when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, which has always sort of been another passion of mine. But I think if I had to pick one point in time to go to, I would want to travel back in time, float in the abyss and watch as the universe formed. See the big bang. See something be created from nothing, from the imploding and exploding of a single point in space. Which is also supposed to fold in on itself and destroy the entire universe millions of years from now. If there was future travel, I think I’d wanna see that too, see if it were really true. I’ve learned about the big bang for years in school (science major), so just to truly see it, and grasp it, and know if it really did happen that way, would be awesome.
  5. What HP character do you identify with most and why?
I think if Draco’s personality and Hermoine’s personality were thrown into one big ball that would be me. I can identify with the idea of having pressure from your parents to be something that they expect you to be that you maybe don’t want to be. My dad has big ideas of what I should be capable of, who I should be. And most times, I’m not it. Which is a bummer. But at least he doesn’t want me to murder people. Which is admittedly a plus. But, like Hermoine, I love to learn, I read my books before the classes, I have a color coding system that involves all five highlighters that I use in school books and my notebooks. And I have a color coding system for the notes I take on the computer before class. I highlight questions or things I don’t understand in blue, so I know what to ask in class. I don’t like anyone knowing more than me. I am very competitive in that respect. And I like to take a lot of time in battles of wits to prove I’m smarter than you are.
  6. What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised?
If I looked into the mirror of Erised, I would see me performing surgery to have saved a child’s life. As I want to be a pediatric surgeon. I’d also see a nice home with a loving husband and five kids and a cat and a dog. And I’d be a published author. I intend to be very busy.
  7. Do you believe that moral actions should be judged by the intentions behind them, or by the consequences they create?
By the consequences they create. As it’s said the road to hell is paved with the best of intentions. I think that before one does things, they should think through all the consequences. If they do not, and we excuse them saying your intentions were good, they will likely just do more stupid things in the future, and create more messes that we have to clean up. And one time their actions may have consequences beyond our control. They could start wars or feuds or who knows what. If a well meaning person explodes a house and kills five people, can we truly blame their friends and family for retaliating. And if their friends and family shoot the perpetrator, can we really blame their friends and family, who knew the action was well meaning from retaliating further. So yes, I believe by the consequences they create. It takes typically no more than five minutes to think an action through all the way. We should be behaving in ways that will create positive consequences for the world and the people around us.
  8. What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now?
My ideal job as a kid was to be a paleontologist. Because, well, hello, what could be cooler than digging up dinosaur bones, am I right? And then putting them together to form a whole skeleton. And then from dirt creating this entire model of something that tells us so much about the past. But now I have a dream job of being a published author. And the job that I am going for now is to be a pediatric surgeon. I can’t think of anything cooler than saving the lives of children, or improving their quality of life.
  9. If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it?
I thought about going for the high road. Because it would be awesome to have a potion that could cure deadly diseases like cancer and such. But in the end, the low road just looked so much more fun. If I could invent any spell, I would want to invent a spell of illusion. A spell that when cast can make my enemies see whatever I imagine for them to see. My dead body. A giant three headed dog like fluffy. Nothing but fog all around. It would mostly be used for self preservation. Though I suppose it could be used for a good practical joke or two. I would call it illudere (it’s latin). Though I wouldn’t want it to be a widely known spell, more of a me only kind of thing. It would be no good if my enemies could go around making me see imaginary things after all.
  10. If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus?
Umm, the most unsettling, scariest thing I can imagine is seeing one of my parents dead. So I’m assuming that’s what it would look like. And I think I would turn it into a bunny rabbit with a party hat and party whistle thing, as the visual of that kind of cracks me up.
  11. What do you look for in a friend?
I look for people who know who are they are and are true to it. I’m not a fan of wishy-washyness. I don’t care if who are you isn’t all sunshine and roses, just be it. I look for honesty, as well as someone with a thick skin because I am honest to a fault. I am the friend you take shopping because I will tell you that color looks hideous on you or you do look fat when you wear that. I also do like people who are pure of spirit better than those who aren’t, though I respect those who aren’t so long as they’re honest about it. And I look for a sense of humor and intelligence. If they aren’t intelligent, they would need to be highly entertaining.
  12. What trait most annoys you about other people?
Facades. I hate how people have one face in front of this person and another in front of that, and another in front of their boss, and another in a study group. I am who I am. I am that way to everyone.
  13. What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?
    Honesty
    Loyalty
    Learn things quickly
    Creative Writing
    Strength
  14. What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?

Ten Time Winner of the Golden Grudge Award

    • Loyalty: That you always stand by your friends, the people who matter to you.
    • Intelligence: The ability to think things through, as well as the ability to outsmart those around you. The ability to learn things easily. The ability to devise a plan.
